Help! There is a problem with a parkway tree

If there is an immediate concern with storm damage, a broken or hanging tree branch, or other immediate concern, please call Public Works at (847) 459-2545 from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We are also available to respond after hours by contacting the non-emergency Police number at (847) 459-2560. If the need is not immediate, please submit an online request here.

In between snow and ice control activities in the winter months, the Forestry Section performs the bulk of the tree trimming for the year.

Forestry Bucket Truck

For the remainder of 2020 Forestry staff will continue trimming all trees north of Route 22.
2021Tree triming will be contracted out for the following areas:

  • Chevy Chase
  • Mill Creek
  • Williamsburg Estates

Cook County 

  • Between Lake Cook Road and Dundee Road
  • Between Buffalo Grove Road and Weidner Road

Contract Tree Trimming

Forestry staff will be trimming trees in the following areas:

  • Old Farm Village
  • Westchest Estates
  • Villas at Hidden Lakes
  • Parkchester Estates
  • Sterling Creek
  • Ridgewood
  • North Wood
  • The Corporate Areas
