Water and Sewer Utility Billing
The finance department bills all Village of Buffalo Grove controlled utility accounts. Residential properties are billed bi-monthly. Commercial, industrial and multi-family properties are billed monthly.

High water consumption can be caused by a myriad of issues like increased consumption from appliances or people, or water system problems. Public Works would be happy to help investigate issues related to high water use. Please submit a request through the online portal.
Utility service accounts
New residents or businesses need to complete an application for metered water service either in person at Village Hall or online by clicking here.
If you have an existing account and need to make changes, call the Utility Billing Department at 847-459-2500.

Tenants who are responsible for their water bills should follow the procedures above. All landlords should notify the water billing clerk if a particular property is being leased/rented so the Village has the tenant and owner information on file. Property owners are responsible for all unpaid utility bills.
