Buffalo Grove Police Share Labor Day Traffic Campaign Results

drive-sober-350x330Over the course of the Labor Day traffic campaign, which ran from August 16 until September 3, 2019, the Buffalo Grove Police Department made one impaired driving arrest and wrote 165 citations to drivers for not being buckled up. In addition, 22 speeding citations were written, and 20 motorists received citations for using a mobile device while driving.

During this enforcement campaign, a total of 242 motorists were stopped for committing various traffic violations, though not all were ticketed.

Zero tolerance was shown by Buffalo Grove Police when it came to intoxicated driving, as it truly is a matter of life or death.

The Buffalo Grove Police Department joined forces with law enforcement throughout the State of Illinois. The Illinois “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” program is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal dollars managed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
