Buffalo Grove Receives Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

Brown,AndrewThe Village of Buffalo Grove is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). This recognition is the highest honor in existence for government accounting and financial reporting and was awarded for the Village’s Fiscal Year 2018 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

The recognition is awarded by a panel of judges that determine if an organization is meeting the highest financial reporting standards in government, and that their financial story is clearly communicated, representing a “constructive spirit of full disclosure”, according to a press release from the GFOA.

“I would like to thank the Finance Department, specifically Deputy Finance Director Andrew Brown, who played an integral role in this significant achievement,” said Village Manager Dane Bragg.

This is the 37th straight year that the Village of Buffalo Grove has earned this acknowledgement.
