Buffalo Grove Police Department announces St. Patrick's Day traffic enforcement campaign results

The Buffalo Grove Police Department issued 13 seat belt citations during its St. Patrick’s Day traffic safety enforcement that took place March 10-19. This was among 34 total traffic contacts made that resulted in 31 total citations issued for various traffic violations. Additionally, one arrest was made for a subject driving with their license revoked for DUI.

“We strongly enforce traffic laws for one reason–to save lives,” said Sergeant Tony Turano.

The Buffalo Grove Police Department joined forces with state and local law enforcement in the St. Patrick’s Day Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Drive High. Get a DUI. enforcement campaign.

The St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
