Buffalo Grove Police Announce Child Passenger Safety Week Campaign Results

The Buffalo Grove Police Department issued 15 seat belt citations, three distracted driving citations and two other citations during its Child Passenger Safety Week enforcement campaign from September 18 to 30.

“This campaign helps ensure that our precious cargo – our children – are carefully considered when drivers get behind the wheel,” said Lieutenant Mike Rodriguez. “Children learn from our behaviors, so it’s important drivers set a good example by buckling up and avoiding distractions.”

Buffalo Grove Police joined forces with more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies to increase awareness of proper child safety seat use and encourage all motorists to buckle up and pay attention. The effort featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign.
