Drive Sober or Get Pulled OverBuffalo Grove Police made two impaired driving arrests and issued 14 seat belt and child safety seat citations during the recent Halloween traffic safety enforcement effort.
Law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois participated in this effort to save lives, by getting impaired drivers off the roads and more people buckled up. The enforcement campaign took place from October 17 through November 2, 2020.

Extra emphasis was placed on enforcement during late-night hours, when statistics show the highest number of motorists and passengers are not wearing seat belts, as well as when the most impaired driving fatalities occur.

The recent enforcement campaign was made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ and ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaigns.
