The Village does not directly regulate demeanor of individual solicitors. You have a right to feel secure in your home, and you may ask a solicitor to leave your property at any time. If there is something suspicious, a violation of ordinance, or if the solicitor becomes aggressive/refuses to leave, you should dial 9-1-1 to request a Buffalo Grove Police Officer to your home.
The Village encourages residents having complaints about aggressive or deceptive practices of a business to file a consumer complaint with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office at 800-243-0618 or online.
