While essential services continue to be provided, the number of staff working to respond to routine calls are limited.  Call 911 should you have an emergency.  

Stay home as much as possible.  Only leave your home to complete necessary trips such as to get food or medicine. 

COVID-19 P.P.E. Donations

Thank you for your interest in donating personal protective equipment (P.P.E.) to our first responders during the COVID-19 outbreak.  At this time, items meeting the following criteria may be dropped off at the Buffalo Grove Police Department, 46 Raupp Blvd, Buffalo Grove.  

All items should be in the manufacture's original packaging and unopened. Unfortunately, we cannot accept open products or homemade items.

If you know of anybody in Buffalo Grove that needs help getting groceries , running errands, or locating safety materials, there is a group of volunteers that can be contacted at BGhelpingBG@gmail.com.

Opportunities with the Townships 

Vernon Township Food Pantry welcomes and appreciates any donations:
a.   Canned proteins such as: beans, chicken and tuna, dry beans, pasta and rice.
b.   Cash donations are also being accepted.
Wheeling Township also asks that you contact them in advance to arrange for delivery at (847) 259-7730 for donations or assistance. Current food donation requests include canned fruits, meats, and vegetables, in addition to soups, packaged potatoes, rice, pasta, cereal, and tuna. Financial donations are also welcomed. Local food pantries are also in need of assistance with sorting and packing items, please call the number listed above if you are able to volunteer.
