The Business Bulletin is one of Buffalo Grove's newer initiatives to enhance communications between the Village and the business community. This e-newsletter will be emailed out to businesses periodically and is intended to provide key information and updates tailored to Buffalo Grove businesses.

Did You Know? Buffalo Grove's New Business Visitation Program The Village recently started its Business Visitation Program, which aims to build one-on-one relationships, address concerns, and provide resources to Buffalo Grove businesses. Village staff and other local officials will arrange a time conducive to the business's schedule to visit. Typical visits last about one to two hours. During this time, the business can:
- Provide a tour
- Discusses their operations
- Express any ideas, concerns and/or
- Learn about any relevant local/regional plans, projects, and initiatives

The manufacturing industry is an economic engine for Buffalo Grove. With over 3,000 workers, manufacturing is the leading industry employer and is showing signs of growth.
Driving Buffalo Grove' s manufacturing base and growth is the prevalence of advanced manufacturing.
Approximately 40% of the manufacturing firms in Buffalo Grove are classified as pharmacy/medical supply, computer electronics, and machinery. These are considered the top three subindustries in advanced manufacturing. The prevalence of manufacturing jobs provides economic benefits to the Village.
Economists estimate that each manufacturing job creates between two and five additional jobs in related and unrelated industries.
