New Business Process Overview
1. Application
  • Applicant submit applications and related documents.
  • If construction work is to be done on site, building permit application and documents must be submitted. Contractor needs to be registered with the village. 
2. Review & Issuance 
  • Village reviews application and approves business. 
  • If necessary, village reviews building permit applications and issues permits. Applicant pays building permit fee upon issuance of building permit. 
3. Inspection & Close-out
  • Applicant completes construction work, if applicable. 
  • Applicant requests business license inspection and, if necessary, building inspection. Allow 48 hours in advance for most inspections. 
  • Inspections occur 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
