Village of Buffalo Grove Environmental Plan

Recognizing Community Leaders in Sustainability
Debi Moritz

Left, Ms. Moritz has been a Buffalo Grove resident for 16 years. She works in the advertising industry and practices being environmentally friendly at home and work. She was among the first members of the BG Environmental Action Team. This is her forth year volunteering with the team.

When the committee had just begun its work 4 years ago, she expressed a keen interest in community based events to help preserve and restore the environment. She came up with idea for the first electronic recycling event at the Village. She coordinated and organized the Village’s first Green Fair in 2012, which was a huge success.
