The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 et seq.) requires, at 5 ILCS 140/4, that each public agency in the State of Illinois, such as the Village of Buffalo Grove, make available an informational directory setting forth the methods whereby the public may request public records, designate who have been named Public Information Officers, along with other information that is appropriate in the proper administration of the Act's requirements.

Requests can be submitted in person at Village Hall during regular business hours. Village Hall is open on Mondays from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm or Tuesdays through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
