Welcome to the Buffalo Grove Police Department website. As the Chief of Police, I am both honored and privileged to serve this great community. Our department consists of 71 sworn officers along with a variable number of both full and part-time employees bringing the overall employment to around 100 employees at any given time.

The Buffalo Grove Police Department polices the Village of Buffalo Grove 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The men and women of the Buffalo Grove Police Department are dedicated to keeping this a safe community in which to live and work. Our members, both law enforcement and civilian personnel, will strive to treat all citizens with dignity and respect and carry on their duties in a professional and courteous manner.
