Every year the Village is happy to host fireworks in conjunction with a concert of the Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band. Fireworks are always on the actual day of Independence - July 4. The Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band delights with a special two hour pre-fireworks concert. This large and full range band has impressed audiences and performs a variety of classic and contemporary symphonic band pieces as well as accompany the BG Singers. The annual fireworks display will immediately follow the concert with excellent viewing from the Rotary Village Green, the Buffalo Grove Golf Course or Willow Stream Park.

In Buffalo Grove we celebrate with a BANG! Buffalo Grove Fireworks are typically held on the Sunday of the Buffalo Grove Days festival. The fun starts at around 9:15 with excellent viewing from the Rotary Village Green, the Buffalo Grove Golf Course or Willow Stream Park.

The Village's pyrotechnic provider has created a compilation of music that will compliment the fireworks celebration. Bring a radio and tune in to FM 88.1 to listen to music during the fireworks show. Music will be simulcast from radio station 88.1 FM. The music to accompany the fireworks will be broadcast at the Rotary Village Green. If you are watching near the Village Grill near the Buffalo Grove Golf Course, the music will be broadcast from the area by the restaurant.
