Invitational Fine Art Festival

The Annual Buffalo Grove Invitational Fine Art Festival will be held at the Buffalo Grove Town Center at Lake Cook Road and Rt. 83.

The festival is being directed by Amdur Productions. Approximately 150 artists will be selected to participate and be judged. The festival will feature original work. All media will be featured and available for sale. Food and refreshments will be available, and musical entertainment will be performed during the festival.

Overview of Festival
Friday night entertainment @ Rotary Village Green – Buffalo Grove Jazz Ensemble
The Buffalo Grove Jazz Band will perform their third annual kick-off concert to the Buffalo Grove Invitational. Don't miss this wonderful chance to hear Buffalo Grove's Jazz Band while picnicking under the stars. This year's performance adds many new numbers and will feature the Jazz Band's vocalist, Leah Novak, in a set of great Jazz Band settings! This performance is free.

Entertainment – the following entertainers will be performing throughout the festival weekend:

  1. Cirrus Falcon http://www.cirrusfalcon.com/ - classic rock, alternative, acoustic rock, Irish favorites, Jimmy Buffet tunes, country, 60's/70's/80's retro and more.

  2. Don Thomas - soft rock

  3. Michelet Innocence - French singer, guitar

Youth Art!
Come see the work of our talented youth artists. They will sell their work on Sunday only, and will be in a tent with other youth artists.

The Youth Art Division is open to youth artists, 6-18 years old.  Artists under 13 must be chaperoned by an adult at all times at the festival.
Unique Expressions Artists program coordinated by the Commission for Residents with Disabilities.

Transportation
The Commission for Residents with Disabilities will coordinate a golf course shuttle for anyone in need of transportation assistance to and from the parking lot to the festival area near the businesses. Shuttle stop signs are located throughout festival area. Additional handicap parking section available in front of Giordano’s.

 


Need Assistance?
Art Fest Volunteers!
Stop by the Information booth located in front of the main stage (India House). There are more than 70 volunteers who assist in bringing you the Art Festival every year! If you see one wearing a red shirt and black Village of Buffalo Grove lanyard — give them a big “THANK YOU!”

Where do I park?
Free parking is available right at the Art Festival location! The Buffalo Grove Town Center, Route 83 and Lake Cook Road.

Handicap Parking
Additional handicap parking is available near Giordano’s and at the far south end of the festival, near the theatre. The Commission for Residents with Disabilities is once again offering a golf cart shuttle for anyone in need of assistance. Shuttle stops are available throughout the route and will be circling around the parking lot.

Ride your bike to the festival!
Bike racks are available behind India House.
