Buffalo Grove residents have one pick-up per week for recyclables.

Recyclable Materials
- Paper materials: newspapers, magazines, phone books, catalogs, chipboard cartons, business mail, office paper, Kraft paper, corrugated cardboard
- Plastic materials: all types noted 1-7 on containers, six-pack and 12-pack bands
- Metal and glass materials: aluminum, steel / zinc cans, aerosol cans, glass containers, clean aluminum foil
Non-recyclable Materials
- Automobile batteries
- Motor oil
- Pizza boxes or take-out containers
- Gable-top containers
- Plastic bags
- Polystyrene / Styrofoam
- Juice boxes
