Spearheaded and led a grassroots effort that resulted in the enactment of Buffalo Grove's safety ordinance requiring tighter restrictions for Pit Bulls and Rottweilers. The ordinance states that those two breeds cannot be walked by anyone under the age of 16 years old, they must have a six-foot non-retractable leash, and their yard must have a five-foot fence.
Led the effort to bring awareness of lethal drug use, specifically heroin and methadone, in our village and surrounding communities. Continues to work toward the prevention of, and solutions to, this critical problem.
