BUFFALO GROVE POLICE DEPARTMENT PARTICIPATES IN ‘TOYS FOR TOTS’ PROGRAM

PD Toys for Tots1

The Buffalo Grove Police Department has begun its annual collection for the Toys for Tots program, in partnership with the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

The primary objective of the program, according to the United States Marine Corps Reserves website, is to unite members of local communities in a common cause, and to play an active role in the positive development of one of the nation’s most valuable resources – our children.

There are donation boxes in the lobby of the Buffalo Grove Police Department, located at 46 Raupp Boulevard in Buffalo Grove, where area residents can donate new and unwrapped toys during the holiday season. The program runs until December 16, 2018 when the Marines will pick up the donated gifts and distribute them to children in-need.

Buffalo Grove Police have been participating in the Toys for Tots program for decades.

“The generosity of the Buffalo Grove community is second to none,” said Deputy Chief Michael Szos. “We are happy to be part of such an uplifting and charitable cause like ‘Toys for Tots’.”

Please consider a toy donation today. For more information, call the Buffalo Grove Police Department at 847-459-2560 or visit https://www.toysfortots.org/.
