ALLEGED OFFENDER IN DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE DIES DUE TO INJURIES SUSTAINED IN THREE-VEHICLE CRASH

The alleged offender involved in a domestic disturbance in Buffalo Grove on Saturday, May 13, 2017 has died at Northwest Community Hospital due to injuries he sustained in a subsequent three-vehicle crash.

BUFFALO GROVE PARTICIPATES IN CLICK IT OR TICKET CAMPAIGN

The Buffalo Grove Police will join the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the Illinois State Police and hundreds of local law enforcement agencies across the state for the 2017 Click It or Ticket campaign that runs from May 15-30, 2017.

Officers will be out in force day and night during this time frame, cracking down on seat belt law violations and impaired drivers. Motorists caught driving unbuckled will be ticketed, and those caught driving impaired by drugs or alcohol will be arrested...

HONDA AND ACURA AIRBAG INFLATORS POSE HIGH-RISK PROBLEMS

The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released new test data showing airbag inflators from certain vehicles have a high risk of rupturing during airbag deployment.

The following 2001-2003 Honda and Acura vehicles have been identified as having up to a 50-percent chance of airbag inflators rupture in a crash. The airbags should be repaired immediately.
