National Police Week: May 15th-21st
This year, the names of 252 officers killed in the line of duty are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. The group includes 123 officers who were killed during 2015, in addition to 129 officers who died in previous years, but whose stories of sacrifice had been lost to history until now.

Bicycle Safety Coloring Contest

All local Buffalo Grove Elementary schools, grades K-3rd, were given entry forms for the Police Department’s annual Bicycle Safety Coloring Contest. The coloring contest is designed to educate our children about bicycle safety. A winner was picked from each grade and those selected will be presented with a $25 gift card at the May 16th Village Board meeting. Congratulations to our winners!!

Commercial Vehicle Safety
We want to remind all commercial truck drivers, that your registration plate expires July 1st. To avoid any fines, we recommend that you renew your registration prior to that date. Our truck enforcement unit will also be visiting local business offering the same reminder. Click here for more information.

Chief Steven R. Casstevens is pleased to announce the results of the recently completed 2014 Citizen Survey. The survey has been sent out since 1984 with the intent to gauge satisfaction of the police service in Buffalo Grove.
